Meet Marc Kegels, our passionate hot-air balloon pilot from Belgium. With a desire for adventure and a love for seeing the world from above, Marc found his calling in hot air ballooning after flying with the renowned Belgian Pilot Wim Verstraeten, who imparted invaluable knowledge and inspiration.

With over 2,200 hours of flight experience and 32 years of experience, Marc understands the importance of weather conditions and meticulous flight planning for safe and enjoyable journeys. He also believes in the importance of being an entertainer in the basket, instilling confidence in his passengers who, to him, are all famous.

Marc vividly recalls his first solo flight after ten instructional flights, a moment of excitement and responsibility as he had to make decisions independently. Among his most cherished experiences is crossing the Alps in a hot air balloon, an awe-inspiring adventure. When not flying, Marc is a devoted family man who enjoys spending time with friends, dining at restaurants, and savoring life’s simple pleasures. When it comes to ballooning, he encourages everyone to try hot air ballooning for its magical experience. For him, the best advice is straightforward: Just fly a balloon.
